Section 1: The MMC Accelerator — Program Overview

The Entrepreneurship Journey

Every business owner travels through three distinct phases of skill development on the path to building a truly scalable enterprise. Understanding where your client sits on this curve is the first step to knowing what they need.

Stage

Focus

Description

Stage 1

Technical Skills (Product)

Mastery of craft, product, or service. The founder does everything.

Stage 2

Management Skills (People)

Building teams, systems, and processes. Delegating and managing performance.

Stage 3

Entrepreneurial Skills (Multiply)

Strategic vision, market expansion, leadership excellence, and scalable growth.

CONSULTANT NOTE

The MMC Accelerator is designed to accelerate your client's journey through all three stages but specially Sage 2 — systematically and sustainably. Your role evolves as they progress.

Business Maturity Model — The 5 Tiers

Before transformation can begin, you need an honest baseline. The MMC Maturity Model assesses the client business across 5 organisational tiers — each representing a distinct stage of operational and strategic development.

Tier

Maturity Level

Description

Tier 5

Excellence

Best-in-class practices; sustained success, continuous improvement, full scalability, data-driven leadership.

Tier 4

High Performance

Efficient, well-coordinated systems; consistent results, optimised processes, and aligned teams.

Tier 3

Established

Stable operations with some growth; moderate structure. Systems exist but need strengthening.

Tier 2

Developing

Basic systems in place but applied inconsistently. Foundational strength present; key structural gaps limit scalability.

Tier 1

At Risk

Critical issues exist; operations are unstable or unsustainable. Immediate intervention required.

The 5 Assessment Dimensions

The client business is scored on a 1–5 scale across all five dimensions. The combined score determines their Tier and drives the Phase 1 Priority Action Plan.
